Blockhouse Bay Primary School’s grounds have undergone a special make-over with all classes each designing and creating an outdoor sculpture for everyone to enjoy.
Over the last two terms the students developed understandings of who they are in our place and what it is that makes us belong. They wanted their school environment to be welcoming, attractive and to represent their New Zealand heritage and their diverse community. Exploring the different styles and materials that can be used to form sculptures, each class came up with their own unique design, which they then set to work and created. The Blockhouse Bay Sculpture Trail has its own website showcasing the outstanding creativity of the children. www.blockhousebaysculpturetrail.com.
